Haley has been the Executive Chef at Hickory House Recovery for almost a decade. She brings many years of experience as a chef, caterer and baker, but her love of food began at the age of 8, when her Dad taught her to make biscuits and gravy from scratch.
“While I am not in recovery myself, I come from a home and family where addictions and mental illnesses are prevalent. My heart and passion lies in helping people see the light at the end of the tunnel that is their addiction. I hope to inspire as many people possible to seek recovery and actively pursue a happy, healthy, sober life, despite the cards they may have been dealt and struggles they face.”
Haley believes there are few things more healing and nurturing to a recovering soul than a healthy, heartfelt, home-cooked meal. Cooking a meal for someone is showing them love, and a lot of the people coming to HHR just need to feel loved, cared for and not alone. She is proud to be part of a group of people all working together to serve a bigger purpose, who truly, deeply care for every person who walks through the doors and want the best possible outcome for every client.
In her spare time, Haley enjoys spending time with family, going to the park with her children, baking, painting, gardening, serving at church, and family vacations – seeing all the beauty the world has to offer – the mountains and oceans are her favorite place to be.
