Dalton Blakley, CPSP, CHW
Dalton comes to Hickory House Recovery as a survivor with a passion for helping others become survivors. He survived five years of active substance abuse and found recovery when he was 23 years old. Experiencing the life-changing recovery process, he has taken the hope he received from the recovery community and gives it back to those struggling with addiction, as he once did.
“When I received my certification and began working at Hickory House, I instantly felt at home, strengthening my passion to give my community the same hope I received in my recovery. My new life path offers me an outlet to share my understanding and empathetic personality with individuals experiencing a vulnerable point in life.”
Dalton finds watching the growth that occurs in an individual in only 30 days rewarding in many ways. Having the opportunity to see people complete the program and leave with a new sense of self and well-being inspires him to not only continue walking with people in recovery, but to keep growing as an individual. Dalton takes pride in influencing a safe and genuine relationship with each client, paving the way for the client to pursue a new way of life.
Dalton enjoys playing video games, building PC’s, golfing, horseback riding and traveling/sightseeing.
